Diets, weight loss and Paul McKenna!
Right, last September I broke a bone in my foot crashing into a clothes rail outside my bedroom door. I was late getting up and was in a tearing hurry because I was frustrated more than anything. It was a Saturday and I had no meetings or appointments, I was just annoyed that I’d overslept, I like to get up early.
And so it came to pass that the next day Jamie hauled me kicking and screaming to A&E as I couldn’t walk and low and behold. there on the x-ray was the bone I managed to split right down the middle! Trust me to do a good job!
Anyway, to cut a long story short, 8 weeks with either one or two crutches and no ability to run around as I normally do meant I piled on a stone in weight. Not happy, and why it’s taken me 6 months to start to lose it is beyond me. Lack of motivation I guess and being too busy to get to the gym. Instead I’ve been eating healthily and have lost a couple of pounds but with summer coming it suddenly seems a very good idea to get it off for good!
I’m not a great believer in diets although I do occasionally get sucked into the latest fad with varying degrees of success but I know only too well that the only weight loss plan that actually works is a good, healthy diet and exercise.
I do believe he actually will and with no faddy diets or illogical thinking!
Enter Paul McKenna! I’ve got his book ‘I can make you thin’ and whilst I have read and digested the contents I have found it tricky to get my head round all of the information in it. Enter the App! I’m into my Apps at the moment, I have one to remind me to drink more water which works brilliantly and another to remind me to eat more often! Then I came across the Paul Mckenna App based on the book.
At £2.99 I decided it was worth trying and I’m so glad I did. I haven’t consciously changed anything but I have been following it every day and listening to the night time hypnotic. I’m eating more, eating what I want to and have lost 3lbs in 2 weeks, I call that good going!
I feel motivated to get more exercise without really knowing why and now have a much better relationship with food. I no longer eat what diet books tell me I should be eating, I eat whatever I want but find myself naturally drawn to healthy choices. Why, I don’t really know and I don’t really care but somewhere down the line it must all be sinking in and making a difference.
And all of you cynics out there who think I’m being paid to write this……absolutely not, Paul McKenna isn’t even aware of my existence, but I do like to share what I find is working for me. Maybe it can work for you as well, even if you don’t need to lose weight it’s still doing a great job of motivating me to get my body moving more. Sitting at a computer all day is definitely not good for your waistline whatever your age!
So, if you’ve tried it all with no success, try this. It’s easy to follow and takes you step by step through every day, it even has a ‘Panic Button’ for those moments when you crave something you know you shouldn’t eat!
I personally would like to thank Paul McKenna for putting together a sensible, logical weight loss programme that actually works….as long you work it of course!
